Lynn Adams is a Board Certified Clinical Social Worker with 30 years’ experience in the provision of mental health services.

 

A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pittsburgh, she is in the private practice of clinical social work in Gulf Shores, AL, having moved there in the Fall of 2004.  Prior to this, she was in private practice for 17 years in New Jersey.

 

In addition to private practice, she has worked in inpatient psychiatry at The Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut, Staunton Clinic in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and Hampton Hospital in Rancocas, New Jersey as well as in  Community Mental Health in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  During part of this time she served as Director of Social Services at Hampton Hospital, a neuropsychiatric and substance abuse inpatient facility, supervising a staff of 12 clinical social workers doing neuropsychiatric evaluations and treatment along with 4 psychodramatists.

 

Ms. Adams’ specialty is working with clients with neuropsychiatric disorders, though she does considerable marital, family and Employee Assistance work.  She works with children, adolescents and adults and their families and is also experienced in divorce mediation.

 

She is a Board Certified Diplomate with the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work, a Diplomate with the National Association of Social Workers, a member of NASW’s National Registry, and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers.
